Carb causing high idle!!!! Need help bad!!!

Still having a problem with my carb!!! When I look where the slide is, it's about 1/4 in from hitting the bottom!!! And it idles really high as soon as starting up!!!!
 
Hey guys, i took a pic of where the slide is at....I adjusted the idle screw and it did nothing.....Here is the pic below......

yeah thats open too far, find whats causing it??? cable adjusters, bar and carb top??? make sure the cable isnt hung up somewhere going down thru the cable retainer below the headlight or underneath somewhere
is the needle going down into the needle jet????

I am pretty sure its going down in the jet....

I was gonna order the Motion Pro TORS block off...$30...cant beat that!!!!!!!!!!
 
I agree with Awk. I think it's the throttle cable.

I had the same problem with my CRF50 the throttle cable was a tad too short.
 
You might check this out. This was why mine was stuck in about the same position, 1/4 inch. The manual calls for 1/8 - 3/16 at the most. The screw and brass piece in the pics below (circled in red) were both stripped. I tapped it out and put a new screw in it. Problem solved. Just a thought.

it should be about 2 pennys stacked from the bottom, thats way too high


Thanks for the info! Its my TORS for sure....

and I meant to say I've always wanted to get rid of it since i bought it (july 19th)...I was on here with my iTouch doing it and it has a small screen so i couldn't see what i typed.....sorry for the confusion
