Well...I'm still learning these Blaster engines and carbs.

I have a problem with the idle circuit.

It starts up fine...but won't idle. The Choke has to be on for it to run right.

I'm running too lean...I fixed an air leak from the base gasket. I tried adjusting the float height and cleaned the pilot and main.

I don't have the T.O.R.S...I plugged it and just pre-mix into the tank.

Are there any other nitorious places for air leaks on these engines?

Also...I can't find the damn idle adjustment on the carb...any ideas?

Sorry for the newb question...I'm just being lazy.I:I

you can adjust the idle by raising and lowering the slide. what size pilot jet are you using? spray a little carb choke spray around the carb intake boots and stuff. if it revs up you got leak.

Word.

I still have to piece my intake boot together. I haven't found an air filter yet so it's just running without one. I'm sure that's my problem.

Also...how many turns out should the air screw be? I can't find a spec.

I'll give a few things a try.

and the idle adjustment's on top of the tors thingy attached to the top of the carb, take your seat off and look down between the frame under the gas tank sorta, its a big straight head screw sticking straight up off the tors

Yeah...I'm not seeing a screw on top of the carb...

Got a pic?

The idle adjustment screw is on the tors, if you eliminated the tors and did not drill and tap the hole on the side of the carb for a new idle screw then you do not have an idle adjustment

Well hmm...

I guess I'm not understanding this TORS deal.

I only stopped the oil pump. I removed the lines and plugged them...never tapped and drilled anything into the carb.

I must be missing something...pics coming soon..

Here's what I'm working with. I can get it to start and run....just won't idle.

ok ya you do not have a tors box, it has been eliminated. thats why it will not idle, no adjustment screw. IDLE KIT FOR TORS...
this is the drilling and tapping i was talking about, it is not necessary. i don't have an idle screw and it doesn't bother me any.

it does not, i never really need it to anyway. I warm it up by putting around for a while before i tear it up

*Edit* Exactly mrs biotch i was about to add that in, thank you

Yeah...I suppose not idling isn't so bad...

I'll tear into it some more at work tomorrow....I think I still have an air leak...I can hear a "pssht" sound when I open it up from low RPM's...

well, if you dont have the tors, and you havent put an idle screw in the carb, can you adjust the idle with the throttle cable? lust wondering cuz i took my tors off, didnt install the idle screw, and was told i could idle it with the cable. does this sound right?
