can some one tell me somethin about fixing a 2 stroke 250 atv??

pull the spark plug, drain the oil and drain the carb bowl and fuel tank if it was completely drowned. Also pull the stator cover and make sure its dry. kick the motor over without the spark plug in it. Put fresh oil in the bottom end and fresh gas in the tank. Then put a new spark plug in it and see if it'll start

yea tater, thats a good idea to, and dually and dakota all good ideas but taters seems the quickest way and the easiest

pull the spark plug out and kick it over for a while. then stick the plug back in and try to get it started. dont let it sit with water otherwise everything with begin to rust

i agree with 245. it will need fresh oil right away. most likely fresh gas too. but a new plug will be best. also grease all fittings so nothing rust out. my guess is you f*cked it up.
also why come to a blaster site asking about a 250? makes no f*cking sense. my guess it is a banned member or a spammer.

wow this thread went no where fast...

250.. kawi 250r? trx250r? lt250r? polaris cyclone ?? ( its called a 250r) as they were a 'race type quad' butn were full auto.. and mid 30s for hp!!

why does it matter? they all runn of a basic 2 stroke engine, except for the polaris which i have never seen before

they all have oil, gas, spark, topend, bottom end, bottom end, carb and filter

so that kinda doesnt matter as much

I "drownded" my bayou 400 before, twice, in the same day...

All I did was dry out the air filter, pull the spark plug and turn the engine over to pump the water out of the cylinder, stand it on end to get most of the water out of the muffler, and change the oil about 6 times. Once it sputtered a few times she fired right back up and drove away. Back into the pond once more to hydrolock it again and do it all over... Once I rinsed and repeated (and figured out where my snorkel was leaking) I can ford 50" of water...

My brother has dumped his bike into a few things of water... lol. Clean the carb/air filter/etc. and hope for the best.
