Alright i love amsoil but it says run 50:1 so i don't wanna go buy a new jug if its not meant to run that mixture. And 32:1 mixture on my wheeler only makes it smoke of start up as soon i ride for 10-20 seconds its gone til next start up. The plug looks fine and it performs fine (cept for bogging in the 5-6 gear but thats just from not revving it out in 5th im sure) Im going riding all weekend and dont want to look like an idiot so i REALLY need some "ur wheelers fine" happening or tell me wat i need lol. Thanx!!!:-/

i wrote amsoil about this, and they emailed me back that the interceptor has way more lubricants in it than 32:1 mixes and that my bogging problems were caused by me runninig it at 32:1, it is made to run at the stated mixture....50:1
i felt funny about mixing it at that so i gave the bottle to my buddy, who runs it at 40:1 in his ktm144

I just got my blaster this year and the amsoil interceptor was the best stuff i saw at canadian tire so i grabed it. I mixed it at 32:1 and in the cold did fine. Since it got warm its been horible. Just today i went for a ride and the motor bogged when i was in 3rd so i down shifted quick and and gave it some gas to save it and braaaaaa died. But then it doesnt want to start till i wait like 10 minutes for it to cool down. I think thats cuz its not getting enough gas to cool the motor and it seemed pretty hot. This happened like 3 times. After reading u guys confirmed my thoughts about it bogging cuz its a 50:1 oil at 32:1. Im on my last tank now and im gonna switch to klotz r50 or supertechniplate. Just a side note i have a 260 main jet and stock pilot with procircuit pipe, .20 over and no airbox lid.

Any thoughts guys? Thanks

Changing oil to fuel ratios messes with your jetting.

More oil = less fuel (lean).
Less oil = more fuel (rich)

If you are changing from 32:1 to 25:1 you need to up the main jet one size.

IMO, Running a Prociruit pipe with the lid off needs a bigger main jet than a #260.

I would be putting at least a #290 or #300 in there and plug chopping to confirm

ok thanks man i just switched the main jet to a 290 i had a 290 and 310 in my set but no 300. I should be able to get it decenty richer if i have to through needle adjustment cuz its still in middle setting. Then next week ill pick up some klotz and plugs and do some chops. Thanks for the help

ok so im runin r50 and a 280 main the 290 was rich and boggy.
sh*tty part is im still having problems, when im like cruzzing not running it hard it will bog out and stall even if i pull in the clutch can only save it half the time. is it posible the 280 is so lean its bogging and stalling? but it feels rich and im getting good exhaust smoke(one way i like to tell if im lean). Its like i have to go wod every so often so it can like clear its throught so to speak. When it stalls gotta wait for a bit like its flooded to re start it. Or is this problem simply a fouled plug? cuz i checked it and it doesnt look bad at all.

Thank god i havent gone far from my home or up to my cottage yet with this thing. I need this quad to be a good trail bike for this year so any good advise on making it reliable would be awsome!
Just a side note im using a br9eya plug, my local shop told be to use them because they are a fouel resistant plug and use less electricity to spark so they will spark better. But i though the higher the number the more electricity required? this being a 9 opposed to a b8es

I need to get this bike set straight asap cuz its got it maiden voyage next weekend goin on a big ride
Thanks guys

I run amsoil interceptor in my kdx, blaster, and banshee all at 32.1 with no issues.

I have 4hrs or so on the shee and am replacing the head gasket and the cylinders are like new not any scuffing or scratches at all.

Id stay with it and jet accordingly. But i dont see why if you wanted to jet for it that you would have issues at 50.1.

Rich and boggy are not in the same equasion, either it is rich and babbily or lean and DUUugh, there is one hell of a difference

Exhaust smoke is in no way an indicator of richness or leaness.

If you have the jetting correct by doing plug chops the oil residue will be burnt off;

Run 32:1, B8ES plug, start the main at #300 and plug chop from there!

I run Castrol R20 at 25:1, B8ES plug and on the rich side, and when it warms up only a wisp of smoke, and never a hint of plug fouling.

It is all in the correct jetting!

You need to do plug chops to get it right, and err on the rich side.
