Can a blaster do 91 MPH?

Well well well. So I guess the guy is all talk. I text him this morning and he replied to me once that he just got up at 11am. I responded back saying I would be available at 2 to go, no reply back all day. Perhaps he didn't want to look like a fool. Who knows, but I don't need to know ppl that don't have common curtsy to let you know whats going on.
I had a sitter lined up to take the little one so I could go. I had to rush to get the new cfm box in and get everything ready to tune. Just love when you make plans and ppl don't follow through.
So we had to take up to my friends place for some test and tune. It liked the 162 main the best. I would get a little bog with the 165. It was 75 degrees here today and its still technically winter. But this weather is great for tuning for the summer rides. I forgot my six mm socket so I couldn't change my needle. I did a mid throttle run and there was a little gray on the plug, still a bit to lean. I have my cel needle on the lowest clip so I need to get the other needle in and I think it will be ready to hit the trails.

Well I put my 15 tooth front sprocket on today. I installed it with the number facing the case to give it a bit more offset away from the case. There is plenty of clearance there for it. It should get me over 60mph now. I guess the only thing left to do is get a dynoport right bend pipe to get some more rpm's out of it.

Drag blasters do 80mph in the 500ft...
But anyways that kid is jes kiddin about his ride.

Not really gettin all these top speed threads coming up as of late.
Even 60mph is pretty dangerous and there isn't alot of places (except on road) that you can get going that fast.

thats good to hear i may end up pickin up a 15 tooth now that u say it clears altho i dont think you'll be gettin many more rpm with a different pipe. nothen noticable

It will get to the point to where the rear sprocket will be limiting your gear selection.
This is why guys goto the 250r style carriers.

alot of pipes do provide a good bit of over rev more so when your talking high reving pipes like dyno ports and such.

i thought all you had to do is swap the sprocket hub??

Your post got me thinking.
I consulted and expert drag blaster pilot and he informed me that there is a LSR Blasty hub that will straight up fit the 250r sprockets.
If you can find one thats prolly the cheaper route to take.

How many +5 hp stickers does he have?

about 19 i think haha!

I think all out w. motor and dialing it in anythings possible. Is it a blaster motor or swap? id love to see it/video. but based off of experience that is pushing it. . . for a blaster

Riding today with my buddy and his 440ex, we got on the road at our off road club and idk how fast we was going but my blaster pulled away on topend and it was fast enough to make me squemish on that small of quad, couldnt imagine getting 10 more mph out of it

lol That is awesome, I get butterflies in the stomach when i'm riding at the top speed, and that means that i dont need any more top end..

The guy that says his can do 91 mph has a blaster motor in it. He says its 280 cc and his stock carb is bored to 42 mm. So just those two statements makes me think either he doesn't know whats in there or is exaggerating the known facts. Either way he punked out and dind't ride with me, so that says enough. I have decided not to try to contact him anymore. I don't need to know ppl that don't know common curiosity.

I thought the stock carb was bored out to 38mm?

who doesn't have their stories straight?

I looked back in an older post when I first talked to the guy. He said 42mm stock carb. Maybe he measured the inlet side of the carb.
