I ordered a woodruff key for my flywheel last Wednesday at the stealership.......dumbass move on my part. I already paid the $4.37 for it and I've been waiting after the guy at the desk told me it would take "2 days" to arrive......I was already skeptical. On top of that, he was absolutely clueless what a woodruff key even was even though he was one of their "tech guys". 8-|

Anyways, I called back today and asked if they had the part in or not and they looked up my part via my name and he said "No it usually takes about a week to get that part from HONDA".

1: It's been a week.
2: I didn't order a part from HONDA. :-/

So I ask him "Uhhh I ordered a part for a Yamaha......Blaster".

He responds back......."Uhhh sorry let me look it up.....*click click*......A front rubber mount spacer?"

"No it was a woodruff key for the crankshaft that the flywheel slides and sits on"

--"Uhhhh please hold for a second"

*wait for 10 minutes*

--"Uhhh it should be here Friday"

"Oh alright then"

--"Bye"

bwahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah x 2!

lol, they suck balls.

what he said. ^^ that sucks man. i hate people like that. i ordered some v force replacement reeds for my blaster a while back over the phone. 20 minutes later the guy says we will call you when its in. a week later i went in and got my replacement reeds. i didnt look at them cause the guy was a "2 stroke guy". well needless to say they were boysens. i go back and the guy looks it up, tells me v force doesnt make my kind of reeds and i told him it says v force right on the side. (i took my cage in for reference. he says i know what those are and shows me a pic. i said those look right. he calls me 3 days later and they are too big. i am angry at this point and long story short i talked to another guy and he got it right first try.

It really pisses me off when the parts guy don't know his ass from a hole in the ground! If they don't even know the simple things,WTF do they put them behind the counter?

ah see i didnt get the 250 version heard there were to many problems with the cams not caming and the header not headering right

That was for the 1998 Blaster. Mine had the 99PWK but I went bigger and went to a 30VM. B)

really? my 99 came with a 105mm carb. and a 7 speed transmission. but i switched to a 4 barrel off a 350 chevy and bored it out to a 8 speed transmission per the recommendation of the dealership. it tops out around 170 mph

or having them measure your jug and telling you that you need a STD bore piston having them order it to find out that it it's completely wrong and that it basically on it's last bore and won't take it back because we told them to order it.........per their measurement

you know what i have are very very very very different experiences with Yamaha dealers in SA. i have NEVER waited more than 2 days for parts that they have stock of at headquaters in Johannesburg. (im in East London 12 hours away). only when they have to get from japan...which has only happened once or twice when wanting parts the old Moto4 it has taken 10 days on the mark! Yamaha is known to have the best and fastest service in the country with automotive stuff.

the other day i ordered 2 base gaskets, a head gasket and some rubber absorbers for the head at 15:30 wednesday. (they put their order thru at 13:00) so i expected it would only go thru with the thursday order. i expected the parts saturday morning. 9.30am the next day (thurs) guy calls me says parts have arrived, they got my order in before guys packed on the otherside sent speed couriers.

now thats what i call service.
