buyer giving me problems

i sold my 05 crf50 2 weeks ago to this guy. i had it listed on craigslist and he called me up and told me he would give me 1300 for it which is a lot. i had a lot of money into it and a lot of parts but it was still a lot of money. i went outside right away to try to get it started. to make a long story short it wouldnt start and he wanted to buy it anyway for 1000 bucks. he came and bought it with cash and i figured the carb needed adjustments so i put in the bill of sale the motor was in good running condition but needed the carb adjusted and i had no knowledge of any hidden defects. i also said it is otherwise sold in as is condition and all sales are final.

so the kid texts me today and says he brought the bike to his mechanic and said it needs a coil and stator which he claims is $350 but its not. he wants his money back or whats me to pay the money to get it fixed. i told him no way am i doing that (especially cause i used that money to buy my blaster and i no longer have it) plus he bought it for 300 dollars cheaper than what i thought he was buying it for. i just thought it was a funny story to share on here and i think this kid is out of his mind lol

Id tell him to sorry its your loss then. Thats one thing I hate, when you sell something, and then the person texts you. I just ignore them and tell them to call me if there is a problem.

Whenever I sell stuff in person I make a bill of sale listing the known issues and end it with items being sold as is where is.
We both sign 2 copies one for them one for me.

yup i have 2 copies and i wrote its sold as is and the sale is final. the part i dont like about it is he knows where i live lol. im not scared i just hope he doesnt try getting to my blaster haha

well he stopped texting me now but he said "i'll see you soon" and said are you coming to my house? because i dont have money for you and im not giving you any money for it. you bought it and now its yours and the sale is final. i feel like a dick but its not my fault because i really didnt know there was something like that wrong with it. but im happy now because i got my blaster haha

i just went throw the same situation funny thing is its oppsite of urs. I traded my blaster for a 05 crf50 and the kid claims it blow up 10mins into riding it. I new something wasnt right with the blaster and I told him as is and its a 98. I said to him on the phone is the deal is done and he said okay im gonna come to your house and get my bike and I said I wouldn't recommend it the deal is done he hasnt called/text me.
