Went to pull my motor out and was successful! Only ran into a couple issues. When i pulled it out, my fingers slipped and the flywheel cover cracked, the only part that cracked was the sprocket protector cover. I cut it all out. I think i might purchase Freek's case saver just to make it look better. The next thing that happened was the swing arm pivot bolt stripped out, looks like i need a new one. The last thing that happened was the flywheel covers screws/bolts heads stripped out.....

So im ordering:
Swing Arm Pivot Bolt
Freek's Case Saver
Flywheel Cover Screws/Bolts (5)

My question is, is the Snyder Motorsports Allen Head screws/bolts kit better? cause im also missing 1 clutch cover side bolts.....

go to your hardware store for the flywheel cover and buy allan head screws. it will keep you from stripping the heads again. the stock screw heads are really soft

Do you think that they would have the Swing arm Pivot Bolt? Yamaha wants $26 for it....I could melt it down and make a new one cheaper. lol jk

no you won't find anything in an american hardware store that big in metric. i hunted for one myself and had no luck. i had to pay the 26 bucks. as you can see in my sig I replaced all the factory screws with alans, they work way better than the stock phillips and you can't use regular bolts in some locations because a socket wrench won't fit bc they are too close to the cases. alans are the way to go

I think i will just purchase the Snyder Motorsports Allan bolt kit. Its easier. I have to order new piston/ rings or just rings too.

Snyder Motorsports Allen Head Bolt Kit
Freek's Case Saver
Yamaha Swing Arm Bolt
Wiseco 67mm Piston Rings

This is expensive sh*t....Time to sell the 400ex

that might be the easy way to go. it took a while to find all the sizes i needed on my own. but i wanted polished stainless alans. cost me a buttload but it looks nice.
