So I am doing a brake job on my 2000 yamaha blaster for the rears I am havin trouble getting them back together when I go to put the brake cover on the brake pad that moves completly close so I can't get it over the brake disc. How can I fix this?

Screw the piece which holds the brake pad back in a little, then check and see if it will fit over. Try to keep it out as far as you can and still get it back over the disc, this will help the brakes work better.
Yup I figured it out but the piece that holds the pad I turned all the way and I sealed it with sealent; is it going to make a big diffence with it being all the way in or should I tear it apart again and fix it.
How far down does ur pedal go? The farther out that screw is the less it should have to go down, I always thought it gave it a little better control too.
Now that I remember that set screw was all the way in and the it barly fit on there I still might tear into it tonight just to be sure.
I was just putting brakes together last night and had probably the same problem!! I was trying to do it with the caliper on there, so that the brakes didn't close up on me (which had happened before, ahha). I couldn't quite get the cover on all the way and it turned out that I just needed to remove that white plastic piece on the outside end of the working assembly inside the caliper, insert a flathead and turn until the little piston/screw thing on the opposite end came in a good ways, put the plastic piece back on, line it all up, and it went together no problem!! After I figured this part out, it was much easier to do off of the bike and I didn't have to worry about the piston closing up on me. Then I got it all hooked up and I had to press the brake lever down and release it a whole bunch of times until I didn't hear the ratcheting anymore. Now they work pissah!!
