Brake switch for a 2000?

Got another question for all u smarties.. got a 2000 blaster and just ordered a new led tail light.. comes with run and brake light. i would like to put a brake light switch on it since it didnt have one until the 03 blasters, but dont wanna spend the big money for a brake switch.. any ideas?

Im putting one on my warrior but it would only work if you have hydros. I believe you can order the spring type for the foot pedal but Im pretty sure the 2000 has that option.

i have some brake switches, they're from my gsxr rear hydro kits, you'd have to figure out how to mount it to the frame, maybe hose clamp bracket ???? < i could look onto that also, then wire it into your light

the MNH(Maine and New Hampshire) blasters had brakelights for the mechanical blasters. goto the online parts catalogue and search for 1997 blaster MNH. you will see a section for maine and new hampshire taillight kit. just order the associated rear brake parts. theyre not too expensive. if you want to go OEM.

Interesting ^^, I didn't know that. All Blasters had brake lights by 01 so you could also look for parts from an 01-02.

heres a link to a parts site i use a lot. yeah maine and newhampshire had regulations about brake lights, so yamaha accomodated them starting in 1991 i believe

Wierd, it is in the Supplement. I wonder if that was only by location as well? Like NHM.
