brake rotor on 2002 and older?

this has me really confused. i know that 2003 the blasters got hydro brakes and 2002 and erlier the brakes suck but what kind of back brakes were they? i always thought they were drum brakes like on the breeze but on ebay all the brake rotors i see are say they are off of a 2002 or erlier. will that work on an 03? and did the 2002 and older have manual disk brakes or something?

Yes the 02 and older were mechanical disc. I think the rotor is the same but the hub is different maybe.

the hub bracket for the mechanical break is indeed different from the 03+ hydro brackets.

 

[DUALSTROKE]

Rear: 88-02 are mechanical brakes,03-06 hydraulic,rotors are the same for any years,Hubs are different between 88-02 and 03-06

Front: 88-02 does have the hubs similar to a breeze,03-06 are hydraluic fronts.
