hey every one. my moms 03 blaster all of a sudden just wouldnt start one day. her husbands son was riding it and he cam in and said it wouldnt start. so i go out and mess with it and nothing. it has spark, compression, and fuel. no start. today i finally got time to mess with it again. i did the tors removal mod and took off the carb. im in the process of cleaning the carb. i rebuilt it back after this all started. some how it got some nasty orangeish brown looking stuff in it. any way, i take out the reed cage and spark plug and turned it over and gas just poured out through the intake port of the cylinder. im assuming this is why it wouldnt start. it was way flooded out. im going to drain the engine and finish up all the other stuff i was needing to do and put it back together and see what happens. if any one has any info they would like to share it would be appreciated. this is an all stock blaster pretty much with the exception of a k&n filter. thanks to everyone.

if teh carb vebt lines are facing upward and the fuel valve is leaky and or teh needle and seat is dirty or worn out it'll fill the carb bowl and since teh vent lines are higher than teh bowl it'll overflow the carb and start filing up the lower end.. so remove teh pipe and dump teh fuel out of it.... then flip the quad up on it's front end and spin the engine over with the kicker.. it'll start pouring gas out teh ex. port.. after you;ve got the gas outta there put the pipe back on and when you go to start it hold the throttle all the way open... it'll take a littel bit but it'll start.. it;s gonna run sh*tty for a little bit but it'll clear out.. after taht you'll probably wanna swap plugs

i got it drained. it probably had half a gallon of gas in it. i still have to clean the carb again. i rebuilt the stupid thing and cleaned it real good back when this first started. it looks like it has never been cleaned now. i dont know where all that crap in it came from. im going to reclean the carb and drain the tank and clean it out too. i just dont know how the thing got nasty like it is. i justr rebuilt it.

new gas sucks.. has liek 10% ethanol in it.. goes bad alot faster than old skool gas..

yeah. it has a 90 day life unless some stabilizer is mixed in. i didnt realize its been sitting that long but its been sitting about 4-5 months.
