First of all hi to everyone on the forum , didnt see an introductions section so sorry if i missed it :) , ive just bought a 2nd hand blaster 06 model ( not checked if it actually is yet ) So today ive give it a little test run , 20mins into it the booster bottle (pro tec) has snapped off its mount and now the rubber tube has come off. Any how im wondering how i can just take this pointless mod off as it has been drilled into the inlet so will need blocking off completely? Ive been reading up here and also the tor system has been removed along with the oil tank but dont know if that has been fully removed, there is a pipe coming outside of the right crankcase at the top and not a clue what thats from, any advice would be great , sorry for chewing your ears off

the tors THROTTLE OVER RIDE SYSTEM is seperat to the oil injection,if oil tank is removed are you mixing your own gas? 32-1...this pipe your talking about does it attach to the carb?
here is a way to find your year :)

Firstly before you ride again, test the engine for air leaks.

The tube could be the tranny breather, it should go up under the hood.

You need to find out if the oil pump has been disabled, it could cause trouble if not.

You may consider getting a new carb boot and ditching the boost bottle idea.

Is there any other mods?

Check the main jet to see if it has been changed to a larger one to suit the pre mix ratio.

Hey yes they have drilled a brass fitting on top of the intake manifold that attaches to the carb the boost bottle is already off as it snapped off the mount then came off the tube , it was on by a loose jubalee clip and taped over.

Yes that pipe comes out the top of transmisson side and at the end it does have bit of oil round the rim it was just hanging at back of engine.

I havent a clue about the main jetting or if any other mods have been made, but it has been bored to 240cc not sure if carb has been upgraded to suit or anything. Ive owned the quad just a few days

Im not very good on the technical side i usually get a friend to do all my maintenance but i want to learn myself now.

I can take pictures today so ill upload later. Thanks everyone

The transmission vent hose should be long enough to go up under the hood near the headlamp.

You may well find that is is not really a 240, just a standard bore with an 40 oversize piston fitted to a re bore.
Some folks are under the impression that if it is bored 40 over it become a 240, not so it becomes around 200cc.

Do not ride it again until the engine has been leak tested, an check out what jets are in there, get back to us with your mods and someone will give you a ballpark jetting advice.

That boost bottle fitting is a very suspect thing to have, especially if it has been sealed with tape. Get a new carby boot.
