Bogging, CANNOT figure it out, any ideas???

I am leaning towards the CDI now too, for sure.

It is tight, looks good, etc, but ya never know and without having a unit to test you just do not know. There were some aftermarket cdi/coil swapped in from previous owner, I am gonna replace both. Actually, bought a few things for the beast while it is tucked in the garage. New purchases go like this:

AMR Monster Racing Coil
Hot Shot Series High Performance CDI
Rebuilt/fresh Mikuni 26mm carb bored 30mm, jetted 310
Toomey B1 Chrome series Pipe/flange/springs

So, gonna work on the Blaster for a bit, should be sick when done. I am pulling the FMF Fatty and Power Core II and gonna put it aside for when my 10 year old goes to a blaster, next year or two, figured this would be a good exhaust for him to start out with, way better than stock but keep it sane for the little man. What silencer should I run with the Toomey? Pro Circuit 304? Toomey stinger? other ideas? What works BEST with the Toomey B1, believe stock bore, 30mm carb, no lid, etc, etc?

Just looking to get an opinion and of course if anyone feels they know WTF is going on in my bike, beings it has not been able to hit the throttle in over 2 weeks, bogs instantly and you ALL know everything i have done so far to troubleshoot, whew...
 
It could very well be the cdi, but you won't be able to tell for sure til you replace it. On the other hand, I was trying to throw you something new that would cost zero dollars to check and would only take about five minutes to find out. I'd check it just for "peace of mind", but that's me. :)


Yeah, plan to check the stator, for sure. Just replacing the other electrical as well, figure it would not hurt, especially with upgraded high performance parts.

Do you use the Toomey end pipe for your header as well, or run something else?
 
Yeah it had the Toomey silencer when we got it. Never used anything else.

Hey, I'd appreciate it if you'd let me know if you think that CDI and coil do anything for you powerwise. BTW I heard they don't really make a "Hot Shots" CDI, that it is only a stock replacement. (this was from the manufacturer)

Well, they claim the Hot Shots CDI is a slight increase in performance over stock, slightly modded ignition/timing curve's, etc. As far as the AMR coil, that is rated 34% more firing power over stock, guaranteed on the dyno. So, that tells me hotter fire, better spark, cleaner build ups, and better fuel consumption/process... Will give them both a try and for sure give ya guys some feedback.

I got a great deal on the Toomey B1 header/flange/springs only, know where I can score the silencer for this setup?
