Ok, I'm the guy that has the blaster with the stator 80 retarded to make it go fwd. I finally got the clutch figured out had 2 check balls in found that out after I was done splitting the case which all looked pretty good. I didn't have a real gasket so I made one, went out and putted for about 15-20 min and blaaaa, I thought it was the headgasket nope fried the piston and the rist pin fell apart. Why, because of the timing or the gasket material or maybe it was just it's time. Thanks

Did you do a leak down after rebuild, and what did you use to make a gasket? Yamabond or similar is used on the case halves for the gasket.
Did you find the clip that hold the wrist pin in, or didn't find one or the pin came out in pieces.

I used permatex for gear oil in the case halves I picked that one because gear oil is nasty stuff, no I never did find whatever it is thats holds the wrist pin needles in I have both the end c clips that holds the wrist pin in. I don't have the proper guage to do a leak down test. What holds the needles in? Thanks

The needles are in the bearing, so I'm guessing the bearing gave way. nd wanted to know what you used to make your gasket, not what oil you used in the case. More than likely you had an air leak when you pulled your cases apart, making the motor run lean, and nuke the top end.
