Blazer or Silverado

i just skimmed your posts and it kind of sounds like you would rather have a blazer, i owned a 93, which is the boxier style, i currently own 2000 s10, and have driven several GMT 850 trucks (99 -07 i think) at work both with the 4.3 and the 5.3. the drive train and frame in my blazer was the same as the latter models and everything worked great, never had a problem, i don't know why rockstar is sh*tting on the v6 so much it's a great engine very reliable, with lots of torque, it will haul anything you need, i tow my raptor and a blaster all over the state with just a 4 cyl so the v6 will do just fine. with that said i would take the full size over the blazer just because i like the having a bed that i can though anything in and not have to worry about getting the inside of my truck dirty.

ya thats really the only reason i would get a truck because i could just throw it in the bed and go. also in my opinion the blazer is a better looking car and im not going just by looks but looks is a factor for me a big truck looks badass but the money you have to put into it to make it look that good is high. im on a teenage budget which is pretty much nothing. if i had an honest need for a full size i wouldnt have posted this thread but im just looking at a normal silverado if i get a truck. also i like to go fast and a truck doesnt have the same type of get up and go power that a blazer has

s-10 blazer is a sh*tbox.. give the silverado with the 5.3 or w.e or if you can abigger motor..

your gonna hit yourself when you get a blazer you sure as hell aint fitting a blaster in it my my mom has a tahoe and it barley fits.. get a sierra 1500 or silverado 1500 i paid $1000 for my sierra 1500 ext cab short box that is all you will need here they go for around $2500 and i can fit my blaster and YZ in it when i take out the toolbox.. and i know alot of my friends have the same thing i do and they fit 2 subs and a amp under the rear seat fine.. or get an s-10 pickup they are ok.. and the 2500 HD only gets 8mpg on a good day my brother and his girlfriend had them and you could watch the gauge sink.. and like whats been said before when have you ever heard wow that is a cool blazer those ones you showed i cant lie i hated..

look i dont know what i want. i know a truck would be ideal for hauling around quads and dirtbikes. but blazers are fun to drive and are roomier. something about a blazer attracts me i dont know what but im drawn to it. I cant say the same for a silverado. the more i think about a truck i notice that i only want it for one reason. there are certain cars that i am just drawn to. if i got a blazer it would be my pride and joy for some reason i cant say the same for a silverado. i cant explain it. but everybody has their own personal preference

i'm not hating on the blazer. i like them, but for offroading, and power purposes..trucks are better. 4.3's are good engines. they are little 350's. they are the same as a 350 v8 but with 2 cylinders missing. some parts even interchange. if i were to compare a fullsize (such as mine) to a zr2 blazer, mine out performs it. hands down i gaurantee it. plus as i said, no need to pull a trailer. you can fit 2 stock width blasters in a short bed truck. ive done it. if you get an ext cab you can haul friends. the truck is more practical. all im saying. 4 cyls and 4.3's dont have enough power (when compared to a 5.0, 5.7, 5.3, 4.7 v8's) my truck has 315hp factory. know any v6 or 4cyl (truck or suv) that has that? doubt it.

i've driven both obviously. im not hating or promoting either, i know irt sounds that way. just saying the truck is more practical in this sense. for the price you'll pay, well they are about the same in price. why pull a trailer when you dont have to? makes no sense.

this whole thread is based on everybodies opinions. everybody is biased in some way. if you want a blazer get one. but since you asked..a truck would be more practical. blazers tend to have great styling. if its what you like and you are happy, fine. so be it. no use arguing over differing opinions. nobody here is more right or wrong than another.

nevermind what these guys say. get what you like. if you are drawn to the blazer, get it. nobodies gonna stop you. i bought what i like. ext cab fullsize z71. i wanted a deisel, but i was glad i didnt when deisel went sky high. i dont pull a lot either. so IMO i made a good choice.

I have got to tell you, both of the blue blazers looked awesome!I am a truck guy. My first car had a pick up engine in it. I hav an 03 1500HD. Basicly it is a two wheel drive t3/4 minus one rear leaf. It is a heavy truck.(four door short box). It does however have the 6.0 in it. It also gets 12mpg!!!!! For being a grocery getter , It will put lots of people to shame! Get what ever you feel comfotable with. I know and can appreciate what it was like to have a cool ride that you could take your friends out in.

ya exactly for some reason i just feel very comfortable with a blazer. it will be my pride and joy. i already can think of the things i want to do to it huge speaker system new exhaust and a lift

ya this blazer will definitley be personalized. depending on if i get some scholarships when i go to college will determine how much of my savings will go toward modifications

ok I have made my official decision thanks to everybody who helped me decide.
I will be getting a Chevy Blazer zr2 im just drawn to them like a magnet
