Blazer or Silverado

i say silverado 2500 hd that is my dream truck and with a pickup you dont have to pull a trailer just throw the toys in the bed get a long bed

i dont want that big of a truck. and yes i know i wont need a trailer because i could just throw it in the bed. but i want a blazer because its more roomy so i could haul my friends around in a truck it gets cramped with more than 2 people unless you have one of those 4 door trucks. with the blazer i could throw my friends in throw the quads in a trailer and be good to go. also im putting a speaker system in whichever i get and a blazer has more room for that i like to listen to my music really loud its just my thing. the way i see it now the blazer is everything i need but i still have a long while before i make my decision

its not much bigger than 1500 a slightly bigger engine and you can get the 2500hd with for doors my dads boss has one and its lifted and has a stero system the subs are under the rear seats and has alot of room trust me your gonna regret it having to tag a trailer and all that

the gas mileage would have to be total sh*t and i have no need for a truck that big maybe if i needed to haul more i would get it but i simply have no need for that much power.

ok so your saying your gonna get a blazer and then come to your sence dam i need a pick-up so your gonna waste the money you spent on the blazer and get a pick-up why not get the pick-up now and you wont need to change

no whatever i get i will drive until it breaks. im still undecided but i am leaning more towards the blazer because i could probly cram the blaster in the back and wont be hauling hardly anything else besides the blaster. and if i haul my friends quads around i will need a trailer anyways so it wouldnt make much differance. and if i change the wheelbase it wouldnt fit in the barely fit in the bed of a truck. I understand what your getting at though

we fit a lt450 quadsport a yz250 and a yz125 in the back your quad will fit no matter on the wheelbase now if it was a s10 yea you would just get a blaster in there barely. and its hard as hell to cram a blaster in a blazer it was hard to put it in an honda element i had to take tires abd shosck off to fit

im not planing on plowing anything unless im running it over in 4 wheel drive lol.
and my friend has two atv trailers so i could get one off of him for cheap. i also dont want such a big truck because whatever i get i will be driving everyday and i dont want to pay an arm and leg for gas

My mom has a 02 blazer and its been the best damn car we've ever owned, never had one major problem with. But I'm going to have to say get the silverado, you can load up your bike and go. My dad had a 99' 1500, great truck good gas milage, and could tow whatever you needed. The only problem he had was with the 4x4 controler, but it was a cheap fix.

wh even bother with a blazer.....take one look at my sig...2005 sierra ext cab. i get 20mpg highway, and i can haul probly 2 blasters in my bed. turned sideways. 4x4 blazers are turds, id like to see one off road as good as my truck. i take mine in the dunes..i climb just about everything..in 2 wheel drive. a v6 turd of a blazer wouldnt. they all have v6's, they dont offer a v8, as they should have. and pulling a trailer sux, its hell on gas, esp with a blazer. the v6 has to tow the trucks weight, then a trailer with quads...use your head. the bigger truck with a v8 is gonna do a better job.

get a short bed ext cab. most popular style of truck, and plenty of room for subs. plus of you put some money into it, it can look like mine...i like gmc's better than chevy's. (dont pull this "they are the same thing" sh*t...they arent. the styling is much better IMO on the gmc's) as mentioned, cold air intake and a cat back exhaust, youll love it. i get about 13-15 pulling an enclosed trailer and anywhere from 17-21 not.

blazers are garbage unless they are 2wd. gm screwed up not offering a small v8..esp in the 4x4's. an ext cab fullsize is the better choice, all around. trust me. it can do all the things you want. the blazer will leave you disappointed.

if i was to get a blazer i would go with the older full size like this one not the new bubbles

got to love that sweet lift
im a teenager and this is what I like i dont need some huge truck they look sweet but i dont need it

i just skimmed your posts and it kind of sounds like you would rather have a blazer, i owned a 93, which is the boxier style, i currently own 2000 s10, and have driven several GMT 850 trucks (99 -07 i think) at work both with the 4.3 and the 5.3. the drive train and frame in my blazer was the same as the latter models and everything worked great, never had a problem, i don't know why rockstar is sh*tting on the v6 so much it's a great engine very reliable, with lots of torque, it will haul anything you need, i tow my raptor and a blaster all over the state with just a 4 cyl so the v6 will do just fine. with that said i would take the full size over the blazer just because i like the having a bed that i can though anything in and not have to worry about getting the inside of my truck dirty.
