Some observations

Some observations ... FWIW

: I grossly misjudged participation. Can figure aprox. 1000 posts & 4000 views per week with a useable item.
: You must be very specific even if you have only one simple rule.
: Posting as often as you want is effective auto bump. It stays on top!
: Although posting as many times as you want seems unfair, the peeps that try the hardest have the best odds.
: Keep it simple! Start post, end post. generate a number, check post count, congratulation post & ship. Just a few minutes of work.
: I feel contests like this should be regulated or run by admin. Too much contest dilutes the value.
: Should be in a contest forum, not dominating "off topic"
: I don't have numbers but it seems that sponsor supported events of this type would be fun for the members and provide good exposure for the sponsor.
: Peeps complain from the first day that it's too long. I agree to a point. I didn't have a clue how it would go. Needs to be long enough for members that don't visit daily to enter. If it's sponsored there needs to be exposure value. I wanted to shorten it but I seldom do as I'm told :) and I wanted to do what I said I'd do. I hope it was a harmless experiment.

Thanks to all that participated!

BTW: Maybe I'll cut some blasterforum stickers this Winter and try some quickie contests! With admin permission, of course. ....burp....LOL
