blasterforum impersonation

You would have to spend a long boring time copy and pasting the 334 PM's I got haha.
One thing I noticed a while back that I thought was weird was at one time the atvgang site was out of date.
I noticed this because some sig pics were differnt then on BF.
Also some spam re-appeared that I know I deleted.

the thing is, they dont have to. all they have to do is be copying code that reads from our actual site and it makes it seem legit.

Wana know another reason why i think that other site is a scam? When they "copied" our site, it doesnt update meaning if you find the last date that is on that atvgangs site, you'll figure out when it was made.

i honestly just thought of that know, since you reminded me. So now, almost 100% that site is a "phishing" site. dont know what that is, google it.

talking with one of the admins on aim; me = malcomsims1994 Admin = lbwdnet

Malcomsims1994 [6:15 P.M.]: yo we have some fraud goin on at the forum i think
lbwdnet [6:16 P.M.]: I haven't been on there in a year or more...
Malcomsims1994 [6:19 P.M.]: i thought you like fix the stuff and everthing my bad

No doubt.
I still agree don't log into with your password or re-new memberships on that site until we get word from Cbaber.

I figure, by looking at dates, most likely 05-11-2009.

you'll notice some newer posts, but those are by people that logged into atvgangs.com and now there info is comprimised.

i had the same thing happen awhile back....also the weird dates and times on posts

Hmmm, ridinfast03 and AT_blaster, check your sh*t since you did log in there. looks like all the others are spammers. they can spam there because that site doesnt actually have all the codes and systems the legit site does.

Correct. Also, hackers can rip databases. I have a library (I didn't rip them) of databases of very popular sites, they could have easily done that. The only big thing that proves to me that it is probably safe is the IP it is hosted on. The IP is dedicated to each server that a site is hosted on. BlasterForum is hosted on "67.227.155.89" As I said before, ATVGang is also hosted on "67.227.155.89" meaning it is the same host. If you connect to 67.227.155.89, just by typing that into your browser, you get the blank FTP of this site. This means that Blasterforum and ATVGang are hosted on the same server, but on a different area of the server. Now, it isn't impossible that it is a phishing site, they could have hacked access to the FTP, but it is unlikely and someone would have noticed foreign access. I would still wait on cbaber, but I would opt to say it is safe.

Just to bring everyone interested up to date:

Here I have an answer. I can clear this up for all of you right now. Did any of you think to just PM cbaber about it?

Thanks for letting me know

I brought this site to his attention a few months back. No worries. It is a test site and that is why it is never updated.
