Hey Im not the most experienced with 2 stokes and i just bought a blaster off my boss that will start anf run if i keep it idling myself it smokes and when i go into gear it seems sluggish and will die after a while i have checked the compression and its around 125psi and i have a new spark plug in there he used a heavy duty silicone on the side of the cylinder instead of the felt gasket. can someone help me get this thing screaming I:I

start by taking off the carb and cleaning it properly. once that is done, check the air screw. turn it in then back it out 1 1/2 turns out. try that to start with
Maybe he was trying to mask an air leak with the silicone, get a read up on this,

Leak down test for sure, before you loose your top end. If it is blowing alot of white smoke you may have a bad seal on your crankshaft, allowing tranny fluid to be burned.
