i raced my buddys 300ex and he just walked away from me:(. My motor is bored .020, dune/aggressive trail P/P, head milled .020, full fmf pipe and 14-40 sprockets and its jetted right. His bike has a uni filter and a full fmf. I talked to the guy who did my port work and a couple other engine guys and they all said my bike should have walked away from his. Is there something im missing that would make mine faster short of a 240 kit or will he always beat me.

either your motor is running like crap or you need to learn how to ride. I don't mean to sound rude but a 300ex with an exhaust should get blown away by a ported blaster

lol no i can ride so i dont think that is the issue. It is running alittle on the rich side tho (one notch on the needle rich). One thing i did notice when we raced is that it didnt seem like it wanted rap all the way out even when i had it pinned in every gear.

my old STOCK blaster was keeping up with a 350 raptor he beat me by one length...so theres something wrong with yours

yea i know thats why im trying to figure it out. I checked the plug and its just alittle rich like i said. I did lean it out one notch on the needle and it will now rap out. ill race him again and see how it does.

god damnit you just gave him fales hope! lol. your jettings probably off. jetting has to be dead on, a little off and your loosing something like 20% power. whats your compression?

yea i think that is what it might have been i was just alittle off. i think it was some where around 140 when i first fired it thats been about 12 hours of ride time ago.
