Anyone know about using a banshee front brake setup on a blaster.
I can get all the parts off of a banshee(spindles, rotors, calipers, lines, brake lever, resevoir) I'm just not sure if the banshee spindles will fit in the blaster arms, or how much modification has to be done, or if it can be done at all.

Anybody have info I would appreciate it.

thanks

I have and did not find anything specific as far as modifications that are necessary.
Anybody have any insight or link to the informantion would be helpfull.

One of my sons Blasters has the Banshee spindles and discs on it. The setup is ok but you can't get the camber adjusted enough to get the tires square to the ground, they are tilted in at the top just a little to much. For this setup you really need after market a-arms so you have the correct balljoint
taper to fit the spindle. If you plan on using stock a-arms the only setup I would consider is 03 and up Blaster parts. There is a person that modifies earlier Blaster spindles to accept the disc brake parts, he sells them on ebay for 125.00. I've seen the whole front 03 or newer setup on ebay for about 225.00.

Banshee spindles will not fit Blaster A-Arms. I do a small business retrofitting Blaster spindles to use Banshee or Warrior components (see items 290202103309 and 290202103327 on Ebay) Blaster spindles have a straight shanked ball joint on top and a tapered on the bottom. Should you re-drill straight through the top socket of the Banshee spindle you would have no way to pinch the shank of the ball joint, and vise versa. Should you go to an aftermarket A-arm such as the Burgard arms it is necessary to use a Banshee, Warrior or Raptor 660/700 spindle and re-ream the socket to fit a Moog style ball joint. I would have to go out to my garage to find out the rate of taper on the reamer. P.S. I'm always looking for used spindles to buy.
