Blaster clicks into neutral, randomly. HELP!!

Hey every1,

I have a 98' blaster I bought almost a year ago,
it is bored out to 250cc and thats about it for mods.

when i first bought this bike it would click into neutral very rarely,
but now that I've put some miles on her, she is doing it much more often.

Basicly to the point where it isn't even fun to ride any more, I never really
beat the crap out of my bike, and it was very well taken care of.

If i had to guess this was a problem that should have fixed earlier, and now that is has been ignored it has become a larger problem than it origionaly was.

So, basicly now, wenever I pin the throttle it will click very loudly into neutral, from any gear it is it.

so yah...any help would be appreciated.

is your shifter sticking? I dont see how it would jump from the top gears all the way to neutral?(it would probally tare all the gears out if it was doing that!) I agree with quadboy, its probally sticking between gears! My ltz 250 does it all the time if you dont pull the shifter all the way up,it will hold in gear until you put enough torgue on it to pop it back out!
 
had this problem before cept on a banshee, the shifter was sticking up eventually we were warmin it up for a race n 5th gear welded to the shaft u might hav to take it to a motor builder n have them tear aapart the tranny
 
First off, how did you get the engine punched out to a 250cc. Check the star gear. I'll bet the problem lies there.
 
he didnt pitboss. He probably figures since he got it bored 50 over or something that means 50 more ccs. Thats how some of my friends are. One guy had a yz250 and tried to explain up and down that since he got it bored 30 over it was a 280, and he also had new powerbands in it. =))

and blaster195... did you notice a big difference with your 42 tooth rear sprocket?
 
wow, this post went way off topic,

250cc cyl. kit guyzz....geezzzz,

is there a common wear part in the trany that can be replaced to fix this problem?
