Bit for Intake Boot Trimming?

Not sure which bit to use, I've got one like the one on the left in the pic, that work? Suggestions? I'm fitting it up with a 35mmPWK.

I've got a billion dremel attachments. The one on the left on that pic is really small and has a hard time cutting through the rubber but it would work. Your best bet is to pick up some form of a drum bit or sanding bit as you can take off a little bit at a time. They look like these. You can get them at your hardware store cheap. You can look around and see what they have.

Perfect, I've got about 4 that came with my dremel, thanks for the info 99. I plan on getting that carb on soon as I get the reeds and gasket in the mail, I'll send ya a pic when she is all up mounted, can stand looking at it on the shelf anymore..

why would any one want to waste time and potentially destroy an intake boot or engine for that matter? use hot water and stretch it !!!!! i posted a diy on big carb in a lil boot!!!

Stretching it alone doesn't get rid of the narrowness in front of where you put the carb. On top of that, with a 35mm carb, it's not exactly full proof that you won't overstretch the boot and/or tear it. You can do it though. Personally, I think it's easiest just to do a combination of both. Dremel it out some and then stretch it. You decrease the risk of tearing and can stretch it.

Yea I know that feeling all too well looking at it for so long and feeling bad I couldn't use the nice looking carb. I'm interested to see how it works out for you. I:I
