ok so im bilding a air box im going to do 22 ga sheet steel square box 8 by 9 n 7 deep but what im struggling with is what to do the boot out of pvc or steel pipe i seen this really think clear round toub i seen i lows today for plumbing i thought that it would be cool to have it clear idk i guess im looking for advice on how to get the best flow to the carb n what to use

Anything smooth, as little bends as possible, keep it the same diameter or slightly larger at the airbox side. PVC has less resistance in air flow if I remember correctly.

but iv herd that u have to have some bends to get the right kind of flow

That's what I thought but a while back I saw a conversation on here about a aftermarket air box and boots and there was a guy saying that there has to be some kind of bend so that it's like it starts something like a vortex with the air flowing into the carb I don't know but I'm doing a box out of sheet metal if I use PVC or a clear rubber tube that won't be too expensive so I'm going to try a slight Bend and straight and see what the outcome is but if anybody else has any suggestions love to hear them
