Bike only has 1st 2nd and 3rd

i am thinking about picking up this blaster but it only has 3 gears, the guy said "needs shift fork. Only has first second and thrird gear.. Shift fork was not installed correctly. All gears are mint. "

how hard it is to fix this? do i need to split the cases?

yes you will have to split the cases but i dont know how hard it is

you will have to split them. But never try to trust a diagnosis on a transmission untill you actually look at it. There are a couple of things that could go wrong, your shift drum could be chipped or the cogs or gears could be messed up. You will just have to look and see

i took one apart its not so bad, just as long as everything is in the right place. the shift forks are a little trouble getting in but its not hard. just make sure you get the right bearings and the cases will close right together!
