hey i have a 98 blaster and i was wondering what would make it faster, porting and polishing it or a 240 kit... also how about reliability because i have heard that a big bore kit sends that out the window =/.... the mods are:
67mm Wiesco ProLite piston kit
FMF SST and Powercore 2
K&N Air Filter w/ vented air box
14/40 gearing
Boyesen Superstock Reeds
Dynojet jets
TerryCable Thumb Throttle kit
Streamline steel braided throttle cable

a stroked and ported stock jug will make more power than a unported bbk. personally i wouldnt get a bbk unless i planned on getting it ported also

I've only owned a 240 kit, but if you jet it right and give it oil it will live fine. I would say a stock bore size will be a little more reliable though. I've heard on this site that it's about equal HP gains. (Porting stock vs. 240kit.) Watch Ken OConnor Racings video on porting. You can do it yourself and save alot of money. He shows you simple basic stuff. He's on this site and youtube.

thanks.... and super noober... u commented on my bogging post and my friend didnt change the jet yet but he said he turned the air screw (idk which way) and it helped alot... so ur probs right about it running rich
