That's what I'm going to do tomorrow, I have also researched some really good performance shops in my area too, if I go that route I can save money on the shipping, and I'll get it there & back a lot faster too. Plus my brother knows a guy who works there and said I'll most likely get a better deal on the work...

There is a flotek ported topend on ebay right now thats for a 3mm stroked crank with a spacer plate for 200 bux with piston and the seller is a good dude. It will work on a stock stroke without the spacer, thats what scotj77 used for his last build and it rips. eBay - New & used electronics, cars, apparel, collectibles, sporting goods & more at low prices
Bolt that on and rip, if it was me i would consider it at that price. I wish i had the cash i would snag it myself. Port work alone is 200 with a bore.

MMAJAY- do you personally know this seller? I just found it on eBay & it almost sounds too good to be true! Lol. That's exactly what I want for 1/2 the price. My concerns are that it might not actually be ported by FLOTEK or that it's gonna be beat up when I receive it and it's not in good condition as it says it is.

Yes, ask scotj77. He built a motor with the exact top end and porting and left the spacer out on a stock stroke motor and it runs great. PM him for any info about that combo if you like.
Its 100% floteks work and yes I dont know the seller personally but he was a member here and he is a member at E2S. You can PM strokedtater244 about it as well to get any more info. This topend is as advertised!!!!
Well that's a relief to hear! I'm usually skeptical & don't like buying things off eBay for fear of being ript off, but I took a chance on this one & I bought it last night immediately after I read your post where you talked about it. I wanted to get it fast before someone else who might of also read about it had a chance to buy it. I should have be receiving it sometime next week, hopefully Monday! Thanks for the tip man... Piston=100+bore=50bux+portwork=200, thats 350 right there not counting the cylinder and head.
Now I need to figure out if Im going to sell my old cylinder & head or keep em as spare parts, and if I do sell them I don't really know how much they sell for. The head is in good condition, and the only thing wrong with the cylinder is that the sleeve is scratched up. So the buyer would either have to bore it out or or just re-sleeve it. I would just bore it out though since it's only on it's 1st bore & it's cheaper going that route anyways. For now I'll just hold onto it and keep it in a safe place
Keep it!! Beings its on its first bore its a perfect canidate for portwork in the future. If you do sell it and the head thats an easy 80-100 bux on the first bore but i think you should keep it for a spare.
I was leaning more towards keeping too, just for the pure fact that if something goes wrong with the new one I bought that will prevent me from riding, maybe I can swap em out and get it running sooner.

Oh okay so that's we he got rid of his old cylinder/piston/head! That's gonna be a bad ass engine when he is finished with it, maybe I'll do a project like that too after I'm done with this one
