Uhmmm if your jetted right, you wont melt down motors. If you can't jet, how can you evaluate a pipe?

Before you start buying more motor parts, buy a leakdown tester and an EGT.

A thread on how to use a EGT and what is is would be good.Alot of people on here may not even know what it is. I know what it is but not sure what temp range to shot for. I've never used one.Yes, I did a search first and it said no results.I'm going to look around on the Internet and see what I find.if I find a good info link, I'll post it.

I have to say out of the ones listed im going with other. TRINITY!!!!! Has every 1 forgotten about one of the dopest companies that survived the 90's Providing some of the dopest accessories for blaster and banshee!? Not to mention the best exhaust!

I have an F7 Exhaust on my '89 blasty and its almost as dope as the Trinity I've got on my '99I:I

have you tryed all the pipes ever made and like said b4 the pipe you get should be based on your riding style i must say tommeys sound pretty damn good

no i dont have that kind of money but my toomey blaster was way better than my friends fmf

but heres the thing a toomey is setup for mid to top power and fmf is low to mid i bleave thats how it goes my fmfs killer on the trails i dont think any pipe could be considered better than another realy id like an f7 if i plan on doing further mods to my blaster but for now my fmf puts the power where i want i down low plus anythings better than stock

I'm rockin a fatty with the +3 crank no lid and a 33 mil carb and it sucks. It is pretty good low to mid but get into the top and it falls flat on its face. I just melted down the motor again on saturday and I'm planning a 240 this winter with a cfm airbox and probably an lrd pipe but anybody who has done a simmilar build and has some input it would be appreciated

get a smaller carberator if thats the only mods you have done that may be why you fried your top end, tho if theres more done and it is the right size then its prob your jetting or an airleak

The trick is to scavenge as much of the lost intake charge back into the cylinder before the piston closes. As simple as this sounds, it's not. The best choice is a pipe that's based on an engines exhaust duration. FMF, Toomy, Bill's, Pro circuit are all good choices for stock, and modified stock bore cylinders. I can't tell you about the right hand bends as I've not had the chance to measure any of them. I can tell you that some of the “high flowing” pipes will not only rob a stock engine of power.......they will blow them up. Think about what cools your engine. Air is only part of it. Fuel plays a major part in the cooling of a two stroke engine. If the pipe and the exhaust port are not matched to scavenge correctly, engine temperatures will rise. How do you think I lost 41 degrees in engine temperature in by BB by doing nothing but changing a pipe? The Toomy is a great pipe but not for the BB I built. Mike @ CPI built a pipe for a BB with a certain exhaust port duration and he was more than glad to tell me what that number was. I was conservative with my exhaust port duration but I'm sure another 2 degrees will work even better. It's all about the speed of sound and when your piston closes.

Read this if you dare!

And where all the real power is found in 2 strokes...Now shhhh your telling all the secrets...lol

That was some real good reading. I love tech info like that. Have some rep.
