Bent rear frame?

Does this look bent to you guys or am i seeing things, i see the one side is def. lower then the other, had not noticed until i was trying to install my new grab bar i got yesterday, and i realized it looked bent up..... Or is this normal??

Heres the best pic i could get, would appreciate the help!! :o


If it is bent can it be fixed and will it affect anything?

definately looks like something is bent someplace.... get the level out and find it. if its not cracked and still rides good then f-it, run it untill you find a new frame.
 
Yeah i only looked real quick, but the only spot i noticed was in the back, everything else looks pretty good....

Do you think if i give the one side some good whacks with a mallet or what not that it might bend back up?

i would be surprised if you could get it back without makeing it worse. like i said as long as its safe and rides good just rock it untill you find a diff frame, 88-02 frames go for pretty cheap.
 
Yeah it has a bolt stuck and broke off in the mount for the grab bar, im trying to get it out so i can get my new one mounted, so yeah i think they bent it over wheelying it or something.....

It seems solid, that part of the frame shouldn't affect anything else anyhow other then the rear plastic, seat area etc etc..... Right?

It rolls straight, still waiting for an engine to see if it drives straight...

i think you will be ok man, check for cracks though to make sure it safe. 315 is syracuse/fingerlakes region, where you at? my wife grew up in penn yann

yea if theres a bolt broke in there......thats what it was.....u should be alright with it bro....as long as the silencer mount still lines up alright
 
Yeah i figured the guy i got the bike from was a scumbag piece of sh*t shady ahole..... Prob. too stupid to figure out the clutch and flipped it up and bent the sh*t outta it....

Hes a scam artist, sold me a bad motor and a bent frame, said it was just the top end that was bad, turned out to be a bad top end, and 2 huge holes in the crankcase i know he knew about cause he painted over them and rubbed grease all around so i wouldnt see it, guess it had a bent frame too.....

Yeah 315 is syracuse area, im up north in the fishing/snowmobile town of Pulaski, its nice up here!

yup i know the area, my dad used to ice race his sled up there when i was younger. snowmobiles own that area, bet you dont take your quad on those trails lol. I:I
 
I dont take it anywhere till my new motor gets here, i have actually never even sat on my blaster yet LOL.....

However i ride my trikes all up and down the sled trails, until i see the cops but i have thousands of private acres to ride up here on anyways, i love the woods up here!!! Great fly fishing too!!
 
My blaster has a frame like that now... rides fine.. I however did get another one just because.

ahhh sweet..... well hook us up when the salmon run starts.......its gotta get pretty crazy up there then eh?
 
Got tons of them, just not on the PC.... I dont really salmon fish, i fly fish for trout and steel head, i hate salmon, it tastes like sh*t, and there all half dead in the river anyhow.....

People fish the hell outta salmon in the river, and they die after spawning.... I fish all the small streams back up in the hills for trout with the fly rod, i fish the adirondaks too, its real nice up there!!

i will see you in the spring :D i usually get my ny fishing lisence because thats where i grew up and love to fish. river fishing is my love just walking down the banks. they kinda rape me a little for that non resident lisence lol i think it was $45 last time but supposed to go up :o :( X(

im familiar with the saranac lake region, it is SUPER nice up there. and cold lol

Yeah its great up there, i used to camp and hunt up in that area, its real nice up there! Lots of good trout streams like no where else in the state, the aussable river is amazing in the fall!! I:I
