Hey guys I was wondering, how can we hook up a battery on our Blasters? Thing is I do a lot of riding at night also, because where I have property I have trails that are hundreds and hundreds of acres away from the next property line which is hundreds and hundreds of more acres away to the closest hunting cabin, so I'm not worried about noise. My only thing is I'd really like electric start and I'd loveee to have my headlights stay bright without revving, because once I tap the brakes or let off the gas my headlight dims, like every other blaster. It there anyway we can get a battery wired up to our Blastys?

battery for the lights is do-able, search a bit, there was a post 2 weeks ago with nice info- i think it was CARNZ with the info, as for electric start---im afraid thats not going to happen.

I've had the idea of making a custom mounting plate on the oil injection pump cover , and using a custom made gear and a cordless drill motor wired to the floated ground battery system . On a cold start you could use te kicker to fire it over , then after warm up the starter motor could easily spin the engine to start it . Would be a lot of work , and costly to have the parts machined as needed . The one benefit I see is that in the Zombie Apocalypse you could simply hit the starter button while dispatching zombies with your semi automatic shotgun with your other hand .

Alright, The starter isnt that big of a deal I dont mind Kick starting, but my main concern is really the Headlight.

thers a diy somewhere, check phragles "threads started" he was big into hid's for night desert riding

it involves unhooking the ground at the stator, running the hot thru an A/C rectifier, then putting that feed outta the rectifier, and the ground from the stator onto the battery, then off the battery to your lights, positive and negative
