Base Gaskets

Does anyone have any feedback about using a non-metal insert type base gasket? The tusk gaskets do not have the coated metal base gaskets like cometic, and have heard they fail relatively easily. I am not talking about the head gasket, im talking about the gasket the cylinder sits on, on top of the bottom end.

i stick to oem and cometic gaskets. most others people seem to have trouble with.

i had a paper gasket on my la sleeve with 180 psi of comp, and blew out withn 10 mins of running during heat cycles.

Cometic or OEM for head and base gaskets. For the rest of the gaskets its not as crucial.

actually I would say oem for the all. the exhaust oring I had with a kit was paper inbetween the steel rings instead of lead. didn't work nearly as well

never ever had an issue with OEM yamaha gaskets
