My friend had bought a shee, and the only thing it had was it wouldnt idle.. so he took it riding and rode reall good all day until he hit a puddle and the bike bogged until it turned off. the bike was taken back to the house and just parked it because there was no time to mess around with it. i cleaned the carbs, and pods. tryed to crank it and wouldnt start for anything so we pushed started it.. the bike had really bad throttle response.. it would bog when u hit the throttle and then 10 milliseconds later it will rev up. well it will clear up once you put in gear and hold th throttle all the way, also the bike backfires!

if you guys have any ideas what this could please reply. any help will be apreciated thanks.

Either the carburetor isn't able to get the proper amount of fuel into the cylinders (clogged somewhere), the flywheel key is stripped causing an offtime timing event, or the top end has lost compression.

A compression test should help determine what's going on.

there is aways the duhhhh things make sure it has fuel in the tank....id check compression if thats good then dig deeper like clean the carbs clean petcock so on and so on

if it doesnt idel right, and it bogs really bad you might be running super rich...drop the piolet jet down 1 size and try it...

Also check the tors and parking brake limiter if it has either. If it was running good before DON'T go changing jets. Clean carbs, might have stuff in the throat. Make sure pods are clean and dry. Use correct puller on flwheel and check key, be sure stator poles are free of rust, same with lugs on outside of wheel. Check pick-up coil gap. If there is water or rust in stator area get new gasket or use sealer on old. Maybe check all conections, add die-electric grease on assembly. Check switches. Check plug boots.

If it hadn't been for the "10 milla seconds" I wouldn't have recognized your post on BHQ :o . If you can't get it figured between two forums, sell it I:I

........................Why?

similar think happened to my buddys blaster we spent hours looking through all the wires and went through the carb. in the end it was the head nuts loosened allowing a gap between the jug and the head to form...we tighten em up and it was like new again ...weird things happen. i recommend you go thru everything even uncommon things...it just may be something weird like that
