I got the toomey kit and it came with the perfect jet kit for my banshee consisting of the air box inserts im not using i have no lid,a set of 270 and 280 mains im also not using i have 300's,a uni filter im not using either got a k&n instead, and a set of jet needles from dynojet should i be running these?

Ive seen there is conflicting opinions about them I was running the stock but have read that they help out with a lean spot in the 3500rpm range the banshee supposedly has and the powerband is supposed to be smoother and less on/off like a light switch.Anyone run these? They are longer than the stock banshee needles and have a whole different taper to them.

I went ahead and threw them in to see how they feel.I had them in before but i had other issues and cant say they were directly related so now that the jeeting seems pretty good im going to try them again.

Take that K&N, dunk it in gas, light it and throw it as far away from you as possible. If you pass up a good foam UNI for a K&N you need some sense knocked into yah hahaha

Just throw the needles in and see how they feel. May have to play with clip settings but is all stuff you probably already know.

I put them in and theyre ok it kind of tamed the violence of the powerband coming on.With the stock needles it was more of a light switch scenario when you got on the pipe and off.

The jettin g is at 300 right now and rich but im leaving it as is i like it a little richer i feel safer.

As for the k&n/foam debate all im going to say about that is my superchargers and turbo setups dont come with foam filters and my cars see more water and dirt than the banshee does and since i dont ride in mud or water i dont see it as a problem. Not to mention i clean them after every other ride whether they need it or not.

But i have a k&n in my blaster and ride through all kinds of stuff never had an issue. These are sport quads not hardcore 4x4's.

Back on subject though the dynojet needles give a 4 stroke feel to the power but still have the infamous 2 stroke hit.Ill run them for a while and see how i like them.Thanks.

280's sound way lean for no lid IMO.We need more info.... Mods?

Forged wiseco pistons, chariot billet reed cages with boysen 2 stage, head milled .010,Full T5 setup,K&N,+3 timing,But here soon ill be adding a cool head with 21cc domes I:I

Jetting is 27.5 pilots,300 mains,1 3/4 turns on a/f screw,dynojet needles 4th clip down,on stock carbs with tors delete.
