Hi, i was wondering if anyone could tell me what i have to do to put banshee disc brakes on my 99 blaster? thanks for any help

there is a few threads on this, you can search it in the search box for more info. But you need the complete assembly, and you need to drill a hole in the spindle behind the upper arm mount and tap it. There are a few other steps to but i cant quite remember.

"or just get 03+ blaster spindles+hubs like i did... no mods required"

I am just checking to see if I am reading this correctly.

I can buy 03 or newer blaster spindles and hubs and they will bolt right on to my 98 a arms? If this is true why go through all the hassle and expence of converting the banshee set up?

that is correct. the new spindles bolt right up to the older a arms. people go through the "hassle" because the newer blaster spindles can be hard to find and more expensive when you do find them..

yea if you do decide to go with the banshee set up you will have to ream the upper a arm hole out to 9/16 if i remember correctly and drill and tap two holes in each upper for set screws, i will add they work better with adjustable aftermarket a arms because on stock a arms they tend to have alot of negative camber (the top of the tires are in more then the bottom of the tire) and you will have to make custom lines unless you find a set of lines off a 03-06 blaster, but other then that they work great.

03-06 front brake setup goes for a pretty penny on ebay and even here thats why a banshee or warrior setup is used. The shee setup is far cheaper and only needs some of your time to modify it.If you plan to get aftermarket a-arms down the road then blaster spindles are useless depending on who makes them, alot of the aftermarket company's do not use a pinch bolt style upper ball joint. As mentioned with aftermarket a-arms the shee or warrior setup, the top ball joint hole needs to be reamed. There is many ways to mod this type of setup just depends what you want to spend. If money is no object and you don't want to do any moddifying then 03-06 are for you.

Remember: Banshee, Warrior, Raptor, Blaster(03+), Yfz('04), front brakes all fit on 03' Blaster spindles...
Also cheaper to buy banshee, warrior, raptor hubs/rotors for the 03 spindles....
Just search around, this swap can be done cheaply if you take the time to scope out ebay. I did the swap w/ Banshee front calipers, Warrior master cylinder w/ SS lines, Got 2 sets of banshee hubs, front spindles(off an 06), banshee rotors, etc... all for 91$... Just takes some time to find the deals, but they are on there.
