bad grinding noise from carrier

i finally got the blaster together and rode it today for a few miles on blacktop and started hearing a grinding/squeeking noise from the rear so i stop and looked at the carrier and noticed that something had been rubbing and i guess it is the sprocket?? but the axle and everything back there was extremely hot and it had a place wore on the carrier where the locknuts are and the axle will move up and down and side to side and when you role it by hand the rear end locks up someone please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sounds like you need new bearings. Did you have it taken apart, and how did the bearings feel?

dont have it apart yet but there was a lot of slack in the axle and the top of the carrier is wore flatfrom the sprocket hub

well i went to tear the axle out tonight and i cannot get it to budge i know it comes out of the right side but i can't get the sprocket hub off maybe i am doing something wrong are these not like taking a banshee axle out ? can someone please help me with this thing ???????
