ohio
well im in need of replacing my back axle bearings... does anyone know a site i could order them off of for a good price?

yeah get on eGay, i got a full set of bearings and seals, axle and fronts for 30 quid :) u should get a zerk/grease fitting asswell and drill and tap the carrier so you can keep all the internals greased up easily.

yup don't forget to drill a hole for a grease zerk on the carrier so you can just hit it with a grease gun

i was saying drill a hole in the middle of the actual carrier, that way you can grease it with a grease gun instead of having to pull the axle out to do it. not required, just something to make your life easier down the road. but you don't actually have to drill any holes to replace the bearings

oh haha okay. thanks.

I purchased a set of rear axel bearings from RJATV.The price is about 30 bucks the stealership wanted 40 for the same ones. These are sealed bearings so you dont need a grease fitting inless you already have a hole in your carrier.I dont believe grease will make it into sealed bearings.

its peace of mind more than anything, when the seals go least they'll be grease floating about :)

and yeah there sealed but putting grease in there will displace any water that gets in there, you can soon tell if the carrier has run dry when you open it up and its rusty,
10 min job for peace of mind that your bearings are well lubed, worth it to me I:I
