axle locknut torque?

anybody know the torque for the axle locknut the one that holds the hubs one with the cotter pin through it. i set set it at 75 ftlbs but idk if it should be higher it was a biotch to get off though.

tighter then hell then 1/4 turn

or 1/4 turn before stripping

the tighter you keep them the longer they will last, as they work loose, apparently the splines inside, not the nut ??? they will always keep working loose, i have to tighten mine a few times a year

yeah my left one came off one time right after i bought the blaster scared the sh*t outa me it didnt come off tho but it was close

i just tighten mine until i feel save then back them off just enough to get the cotter pin in. never had any problems
