ok heres all i know i haven't looked much so bear with me. I beleive its a 1952 chevy 3100 or 3200 1/2 ton.It was used on a farm during its years but after it just quit he put it in his barn i think its been sitting there for 20 or 30 years i am not really sure. all i know is that something is "frozen" according to my grandpa i'm thinking either starter or the engine is seized. it has a stick shift tranny in it if that matters. everything is there engine, motor, frame, tranny, interior, bed, wheels, cab, and doors nothing has been removed.thanks to the barn the paint is still there but faded the passenger door however has a huge dent, window is missing. inside is mostly rotten dash looks like copper rust color. all other windows are there but i think the drivers side windsheld has a crack and windows are covered with molten crap falling from hay bales or just dust. cab and frame may be rusted through but don't know. u guys think its worth restoring??? i know it will take alot of time and money but i have many dreams and ideas about this truck...

i will include pictures later of the actual truck heres some i found of what it looks like

on the passenger side i beleiver theres a spare tire near the wheel well and cab

cool old trucks.. best bet for ' restoring it' would be to pick up a long box chevy s10 or ext cab s10 and mount the old truck body on that frame, than you will have the nice things such as power steering and power disks in the front,
and a chevy 350 hell even a 305 will make it 'enjoyable' to drive, and parts are cheap and everywhere, basicly you would be building a traditional hot rod, which is what i love,

lmc truck should have just about anything you would need for trim panels gauges, maybe windows?? but most auto glass places can make you new windows,

like i said a s10 frame would be the way to go, better suspension, brakes and so on, plus you can pick up a s10 for next to nothing

or you can bring your trailer and 1000 bucks and come buy my running driving 66 f100 thats already 'in the works' for a traditional hot rod...

any other questions just ask

you could go a bunch of different directions with that thing. you could drop a 305 or 350 for a nice hot rod. you could drop in a straight 6 and have a old restoration. or you could take down to the bones and rebuild everything your way. Hes right about the S-10 frame, it has all the modern "luxuries" and would work. and its easier and cheaper to get parts for an S-10 than a '52 chevy. but you have a great base there. let us know what yer gonna do with it. :D

like previously mentioned 4cfed lmc truck will have every thing needed to restor that truck go t o there web site lmctruck.com and order there free catalog for your year truck im currently in the process of rerstoring a 1970 chevy truck and they have every thing you could ever need

i already ordered the catalog 1 or 2 weeks ago and it has yet to come 1970?? i've always liked the way they look with a small amount of lift.

Yeah using an s10 as mentioned above would be the best route to go. My LMC to 3 weeks for me to get...

I build parts for old trucks like that. Bolt on independent front end kits, rear end kits, motor mounts, ect.. www.chassisengineeringinc.com

thanx! i'll give a shout if i need anything liek that right now its not certain if my grandpa would want to give it up for me to work on it or if he would play tug tug. i might have to wait until he passes away but well i wouldn't want him to pass away in the first place (good guy) the farm he owns right now is huge but inactive and will belong to my family when he passes.

My catalog took 2 months for me to get it, hope you get yours sooner.

i'll be going apeshit if i have to wait that long becaus ei have two catalogs i'm waiting for one for the 52 and another for my 89

ok well my grandpa probably will not give this truck up becuz well i'm 16 and hes one of those types that jsut will not get rid of trash at his farm. so i will have to wait until he passes away or at least until i finally conviece him to let me restore it. for now i'm gonna start gathering the parts i think i need. how hard do you guys think it would be to find the passenger door?i think i can find a window for that door off of a buddy. and have the drivers quarter window made. oh and i was thinking of prepping it for paint and making it a 1970 trans am lucerne blue but not sure fit that would fit for the year. opinions would be appreciated

if the current frame is rusted through and beyond repair i would have no choice unless i found another frame

eh i think it would be a smart move to put it on a s10 frame everyone does it for a reason SAFETY... power brakes, power steering, availability of parts..

ok right now i have not decided frame but i will keep all opinions in mind. what do u guys think on the paint though???? i am having second thoughts about 1970 trans am lucrene blue..... too light maybe....... does anybody know the name of the paint they used for the 52 or around that year paint?

you could always just swap a 2ng gen front subframe on the front instead of doing the whole frame swap. Their are so many ways to go with that trucks its ridiculous. Chop, channel, shave, slam, etc not to mention all the room in the engine bay and the various different setups with different transmissions you could run. The possiblites for a read end are basically endless too.

These trucks are easy to work on, parts are readily available if you look in the right places and make on heck of a street rod when done.
