I thought i had a problem with my ignition and everyone said to get a new one so thats what i did, the previous problem was that it would bog/stall if i went through water, and well it still does it so what now? and my second problem is it keeps leaking gas, petcock off, clean carb, checked everything inside the carb blah blah blah, and when i went to start it gas came out of the exhaust head, so it was a little bit flooded. So wtf is going on? i appreciate any help, thx

srry man i have no idea mabye you need a rebuild but mabye you should just down shift when you get to the water

your petcock is obviously leaking, and your float height is off, raise the little tab that it on the fuel needle some, and it should fix it

I'll second that.Petcock is deffinately leaking, and the only way usually it leaks out is from float height.Recheck everything and get back with how it went.

the fuel coming out of the exhaust is from an improper float setting as gscx stated, i had that problem with one of my snow cats earlier this year.

Now for the bogging/stalling when going through water, how deep of water are you going through?

thx ill definitly check the carb again later today, and when u say adjust the tab, looking at the bottom of the carb from above, bowl off and what not, would i adjust the tab up towards me or down towards the top of the carb? and i do down shift going though water, i pulled the clutch in when i went through to make sure it was cuz i was in too high of a gear, i just changed the spark plug maybe 2 months ago but i got two more new ones laying around somewhere ill try it. And how common is it for the petcock to be messed up? it seems too simple to be able to malfunction.

and the water is 6-8" i hit at a decent speed and it sprays up like a water ride at an amusement park lol

sissies. i take the blaster thru water so deep it floats. what components did you replace? i'm betting your gasket for the flywheel cover is leaking. water is getting in there and messin with the stator.

haha, i do the same thing, still on stock bore and running like a champ, never gives me any trouble, you might want to replace gaskets, pull the plug out and kick it over a couple times, see if water comes out the top, lol, it happens

Ive replaced the ignition, the spark plug wire, the spark plug, float bowl gasket, and thats about all, where is the flywheel at? sorry im not 100% familiar with the engine yet, i kinda learn as things break lol and 8in is as deep as it goes in my woods haha

i'm with hick and 2smoker, i go through some airbox level sh*t sometimes.
it doesn't sound at all like the petcock is leaking. if it was, the fuel would be leaking FROM the petcock. there is no valve on the petcock, just the float valve. also, it doesn't sound like the float valve is maladjusted either. if it was, the fuel would leak from the overflow tubes. that's what they're there for.....to keep a stuck float valve from flooding the engine.
sounds to me like your problem is a pipe leak. does it leak continuously all the time or just when the bike's running?
have you tried torquing down the pipe at the cylinder port? this would explain the charge escaping during blowdown. and it would also explain why goin through a relatively low level of water would bog down the engine. water is getting into your combustion chamber. this is VERY dangerous because you could hydrolock your motor. make sure all your motor nuts and bolts are torqued down to spec. the exhaust, the cylinder base, head, flywheel cover (which is on the left side of the engine where the crank is), clutch cover (which is on the other side).
have you noticed the bike revving up really high on it's own when it warms up?

^^ i agree, make sure your gaskets are good everywhere, make sure you have the gasket at the exhaust flange to cyl, a lot of people don't run with that gasket but i do for the riding i am doing, i don't take chances because i really don't like being without a quad, reason i got like 4 jugs right now, lol, and rebuilding and having problems is no fun!

it was coming from the pipe head only when i tried to kick it, no it doesnt rev up high on its own when starting, once its running it runs perfect, it only leaks once i shut it off, and its not your common few drops leak, its like alot leak lol, and this was the first time it came out of the pipe head, its never happened before, there used to be an oring that was where the pipe connected to the combustion chamber but it burnt out

a little silver o ring gasket you can get it at the dealership and it is a good idea you get one
