My buddy bought a 95 jetta with low miles on it and was bragging that it would be more reliable than my gmc truck. A week into owning it the tranny started acting up and it turns out there is no dipstick to check fluid. You have to get it on a lift and I guess there is some sort of dipstick for it like a blaster would have on the crank cover I suppose. Ridic..

Could be an auto too. he could just say but some VW's auto trans are that way, sealed unit. our passat's like that.
