Va Beach Va.
Hello to all,
Newbee here. My name is Troy and I live in Va beach. just picked up another Blaster project. Getting ready to clean her up. It's a 2000 model that was pretty neglected. I paid $300.00 for it and have some goodies coming on the big brown truck this week. I've done quite a few of these. Blasters are fun restores. There easy to work on & you can pick them up for a fair price. Here's a few pics of my previous builds.

I'll start taking progress pics today.

Nice machines,

You started off your post by saying that you paid $300 and it was pretty neglected...then I scrolled down to the first picture. I had to re-read your post and noticed those pics were of your other builds.

Man I was going to say we definitely have some different definitions of the word neglected :D

Nice work

Hahahahahahaha I was thinking the same exact thing.

Anyway, really nice quads you've redone. Looks like you actually know what you get into.

Welcome to the forum!

some nice machines pictured above
but i'm curious..... do you ride, or just restore for profit ???
no harm in the latter, i'd rather see them restored than parted

how bout some before and after pics ????

Thanks for the kind words. I do ride but less then I would like. Riding areas are hard to come by. I restore as a hobby / passion. It's very satisfying to bring some of those bikes back from the Dead. As far as selling ; with today's economy the profit margin is really tight. People are selling bikes for next to nothing. If my better half would let me my garage would be gridlocked 100% of the time.

Finally here's one example of my before & after build.

Oh by the way I've seen your work before Paulie " very nice"

Good eyes
I picked that one up yesterday for $80.00 bucks. It's a roller bike about 75% there.
I've got a yz 250 engine laying around. May consider a hybrid fabrication?

DO IT! Several guys here have done the swap, and provided you gusset the frame and have sturdy engine mounts, I havent heard of many problems with the finished product.

Nice color choices on the current project, BTW!
