The " NUTS " for the " head bolts " They are a type of lock nut rite ? The ones I used when I went back up with the motor are regular nuts with a wider " washer type " base . But They keep viabrating off ! The base nuts also loosened up and blew out the base gasket . Before you ask , No I didn't torque them down . I can't find my d$mn torque wrench anywhere . So I just REALLY tightened them down .

no, they aren't a type of lock nut. The head bolts for my 240 kit look like normal nuts. I'd say that the reason yours came loose is because they weren't torqued down and then retorqued after a heat cycle on the motor

I just use regular nuts along with a washer on mine and I've had no problem with them at all. just make sure you torque them to 20 ft/lbs and do like stroker said and re torque after a heat cycle. They should be just fine.
