You guys think this is a scam?

yea definately. let me guess its regarding a craigslist ad? i got them all the time when i was selling parts from a pickup they were willing to pay 5k for the pickup that was worth 800bucks and it looked ust the same.

he must of not wanted that bad if he did not call you send him an e-mail back and tell him to f%#? off and get lost i would only take cash and face to face he probably dont even have any money dumb f%&! he probably just wants a quad for free

Yeah I was just watching something TV. This chick had her car on CL and got an email like yours. She accepted everything. They gave her a bogus cashiers check and some bogus shipping company picked up the car. She took the check to her bank which was for $3000 and said she had to have the same amount or more in her acct. Well she did and they tried cashing her check and it didnt exist. So she was out the 3g's and they got her car. Not sure what happened if she called the popo and said it was stolen or what but all the contact #'s she had for them were dead now.
Just thought Id throw that out there...There are scammers all the time on CL.

Respond back the alien ship is in good working order and should make it back to the mother-ship. They will respond lol. i have a response here somewhere i did like that. I have a bulletin board full of scam checks. I collect them.

anytime there is a shipping company involved, it's most likely a scam. always ask for cash. if they want it they will bring cash.

Def a scam. I had the same type of email sent to me last year when I listed a truck on CL. I gave them a P.O. Box # and they mailed an envelope with 3 fake western union checks for $1500 each. Kept them somewhere around here, i think its funny that they actually try this stuff, but its also sad because people fall for it everyday!

Haha somebody watches Teen Mom. The chick that got screwed and Maci are hot..MILFS!

That being said, it's 99% scam. Deal with cash and in person. People even have scams with money orders. When I was selling my iPhone on craigslist I got an email from someone( with poor English which is always a giveaway) that wanted to buy an iPhone for his neighbor in S. Africa haha.

DONT DO IT!!!! listen i had the same thing happen to me over some furniture that my wife was selling it was the same crap he is telling u about the shipping company and all that, needless to say if it wasnt for the phone company i would have been out 2 grand. they make some counterfeit money orders and they look real i still have the fake one here somewhere. i wouldnt take a money order from the president right now. do cash only or if they wanna pay with a check make sure it clears your bank before u send anything.
