I see lots of aluminum rear wheels but not many fronts. is there a reason people are running there steel wheels on the front still ?

cheaper? that would be my guess. i won't never buy another complete set of wheels like that. did it once and it's just not worth it to me.

i only have fronts. didnt even need them. just got a good deal on them. id imagine that people bend rears more often and they figure that if they are buying why not get aluminum

just get get a set of newer banshee, or yfz/raptor etc stock rims, they are all aluminum, have the 156 bolt pattern and are rolled lip, and are some of the strongestaluminum rims out there

I would buy fronts but I just don't feel like investing money into them. I got the douglas rears because they are wider which ultimately lets me run a wider tire.....effectively widening my rear track while still running the stock Blaster axle. I think they are worth it simply because of the weight savings.

I think most people just switch out the rears mostly because the rear tires wear out faster in MOST cases and they just feel the need to switch the rims while they switch the tires, but don't feel like swapping rims/tires on the fronts if they aren't worn yet.

i switched mine, but imo, the front aluminum aftermarket ones bend alot easier than stock ones. the aluminum ones arent that much lighter, but they look better. mine are offset and i wish i didnt get rid of my stocks yet.

I can verify this, as I have had my daughters raptor up awk mountain half dozen times and really beat the crap out of it, those baby's are tough.Just a few nicks and scrapes.
Also expensive. I've been wanting a pair for the longest time, But prices are $$$.

However, when you hit a tree head on, (my daughter did) They do not like that at all but I was able to bend then back close to straight. They want $80for one!

This is current pic, the quad is an '08-

Truth. My head on collision bent the rim bad, a hammer straightened it out with some work but i've still got a slow leak.

the Yammy warrior rims I put on only felt about a pound lighter, though they did have more tread :D . Bought it as a fixxer-upper, but cdi is shot and is specific only to an 87 and not available aftermarket. Withe the cost of cdi, I wouldn't make any money on it. So now I'm parting it. I'll keep brakes if I don't sell them for the blaster. Put blaster rims on warrior so I can move it.
