That helps but how do i know how many lbs im torqin them? certain tool or just guess it?
My stock piston and rings and stuff only lasted me 3 summers. People say im lucky I got that long out of it is that true or ?? can you get lots more out of a blaster ? I mean if you ride it every week end for about 200k pretty much every week end. But your supposed to let it cool down and not let it overheat and I run with 4strokes soI stop about every 30min. on a 23 degree Celsius day. what happened is for the first to years I had my blaster ( bought new ) I put 89 octane in it and the day my rings stuck I had put 91 or 93 without mixing it just straight for 2 tanks of gaz that day. I dont know if that would of done it? Thats what some people told me. Maybe would of lasted longer with 93 since new.
Well what my atv mechanic told me is that you run a high chance of breaking the skirts off the piston if you just put new rings on. I would buy the Wiseco Piston kit for $170.00 get it honed and then just put it back together. The way yours looks isnt all that bad but its quite worth the extra $150 to get the kit.
well thats pretty stupid! the bore is gonna be out of round it may take .002 to clean up so with a new kit you are probably sitting on .005 clearance, .003 when the first did it and now another .002 to sq. it up for a total of 5 thats to much, now he's rite you'll break the piston
