Airsal jug

Something looks funky here.....

That looks like it is a standard iron sleeve and the exhaust port isn't the correct shape for "the" airsal kit. The triples are supposed to be triangular.... Definitely not stock, but not sure exactly what it really is.

i emailed asking for better pics of the intake and exhuast areas, no reply yet

Is it me or does it look like there's a big crack in the sleeve ? I'm looking at the bottom pic of the bore. In the right upper part.

Maybe an airsal with some porting? ... here's Noobs pics ... doesn't look like a sleeved cylinder

I held noob's cylinder in my hand to take those pics. What looks like a sleeve in that pic is really just a lot of contrast on my phone's camera. The regular "light" aluminum is really light, the nikasil is like one shade darker.

The intake window and the fact that it HAS triples look right but the shape of the triple exhaust ports and the fact that it seriously looks like it has a steel sleeve doesn't jive.

Does the 200cc national cylinder have the same port layout but a sleeve in a stock cylinder?

I realize noob's is plated, just thought the CL pic looked plated too, lookin at the ports ... figured the top was gasket marking ... eyes ain't what they once was ... LOL

Well I'm not sure my eyes aren't lying as well.... I'm not sure WHAT that cylinder on CL is and without measuring and comparing it'll be difficult to figure it out. Of course he has a Airsal box and the intake port looks right but the intake port isn't THAT different than a stock cylinder with the intake bridge cut out completely.

looks to me like the space between the triples & main exhaust and the space between the transfers is smaller leading me to think ported. If it is ported, how well? Won't know till someone buys it and that person will pay to re-plate it if it is arisil. Have the seller stick a magnet on it :)

a few things to know if anyone is looking to get this.. you need the spacer that comes with it, even for a stock stroke and for u stroker guys you either need a custom spacer made or use both the stroker spacer and the original airsal spacer. piston kits are only $100 for these since airsal makes them themselves right in the same factory as the cylinders. all pistons are cast, there are no other options. lastly, you need to install longer base studs because the airsal is thicker and the stockers are baaaarely long enough. all that said if i was in the market for a jug i would scoop this baby up!!!
