Air Filter smells like gas?

Is it normal for an air filter to smell like gas? Its a K&N too. Also how can you tell if their dirty and can and how do you wash them. Thanks

you need a k&n recharge kit and you should clean it multiple times throughout the season.

i clean my air filter after every ride and change my oil every 2 rides

yup make sure that you wash from the inside out too so you don't force any contaminants into the cotton. just get yourself a recharge kit and follow the destructions on the back
