Anybody have any idea on how I can adjust the brake lever on my son's Blaster? I need to bring it closer in so that he can reach it without having to take his hand off of the bar. I have looked for some adjustable levers but I can only find them for the hydraulic brakes. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

youll need to buy a different perch...look on the web at a site called rocky mountain atv..they sell youth size perches and different adult ones with different bends..if you just adjust the cable to bring it in ,it will make the lever very sloppy feeling..too much play . i bought perches fo rmine that are only about as long as two of my fingers..

Thanks for the replies. With a new perch and lever will I have to remove the parking brake? I don't mind if I do just curious.

yes..probably will..but thats a good thing! i removed mine (and almost everyone does).. take the wire out of it, disconect it from the harness.(make sure that ya disconect that wire, if you dont the blaster wont rev right, it will always think that the brake is engagesd) and they sell block off plates for the rear brake. mine was only ten dollars off ebay.

Are the perches vehicle specific? Or does it not matter as long as it fits the handlebar?

i believe that they are not vheicle specific. a brake perch is a brake perch..
make sure you dont get one for hydros...i think they put hydros on 03 and up..get a cable one..hold on , ill try and find ya one like mine

this is just like what i have on mine..it looks liek you can use the same perch you already have , still will need to disconect parking break though..these levers arnt bent as much and hav erubber to help grip,,i bought a whole new perch for mine but for some reason im not finding that right now..take a look at these

Awesome!! Thanks! Do you know about how much closer those levers are to the bar. They just started new rider fit rules in Oregon and I can get hit for child endangerment if he doesn't meet the requirements. And one of the requirements is that his first knuckle reach past the lever. Being 11 his fingers aren't very long.

hmmm...not sure bud..I know that those levers are closer to the bar though..mine are allot closer , i only have to use one finger now to pull in on em..they arnt bent out as much, instead thay are almost strait with the bars verses the stock ones bending away...know what i mean?
