hi guys iv just purchased my first yamaha blaster 2001 model i brought this bike and the man i got it i forgot to ask him what he was running it on so just got a few qeustions to ask
1) should i run it on premix 32-1 or oil in the tank under seat and straight in tank
2) how will i know if my oil injector is fully working
3) is it ok to run it on premix 32-1 without using the oil injector tank under seat? ;)

you won't really know if the injection quits until its too late most of the time.

my advice is just to eliminate it, run 32-1 in the tank, and call it a day

Thanks for the advice, Will i really need to remove the oil injector? because its just for me and my son to have a mess around in the field with, its not gonna be raced or used too much say 2-3 times a week for a 2 hours

I removed mine and so has just about every other member on here. The problem with it is, when it goes out you will only be getting straight gas to the top end. No oil in the gas = fried top end. Just get rid of it. It's very easy.

first order a kit off of ebay (that is the only place that they will ship to the uk.) then follow these instructions. if you don't order them i can give you diy instructions but this is really easier
here is exactly what you do:

1. Drain your transmission oil.

2. Remove the entire clutch cover.

3. flip over the clutch cover and remove the oil injection cover.

4. Remove the pump and replace it with the little metal cover and gasket included in the kit.

5. Put the oil injection cover on then put the clutch cover on with the included new gasket.

6. Using the included rubber cover, remove the oil line from the carb and cover up the brass nipple with this cover

7. remove the oil injection tank from the rear of the quad and unplug all the wires.

8. Drain all of the gas from the quad (gas tank and carb bowl) and replace it with premix.

9. RIDE!!!!!
